Another week in Grand Island and I have been enjoying it. My companion has been teaching me weird cuban phrases like the one in the title he said it basically means whats up but in cuban slang. We had some good lessons and some wild ones this week. We found another cuban family they were pretty cool and they seemed to really like the Book of Mormon hopefully we can meet with them soon and we also had another few good lessons talking about the Book of Mormon. Then we had a crazy lesson with a very drunk guy. He wandered down the stairs and just started saying crazy off the wall things and then asked us to pray for him and so we tried but he kept interrupting the pray with some other things. We talked to him two days later and he didn't remeber a thing but said he wants to quit drinking so that's good. We also had a good church meeting it is a little weird because we have to translate for the Spanish members so they were little head phones and normally it's Elder Taylor who sits in the back and talks into a microphone but the speaker was a native Spanish speaker trying to speak english and he was trying to translate that back into Spanish so it was a little difficult.but she talked about how leading by example and sharing her testimony with her family she was able to get her family to church.

I was reading in Alma 43-50 this week where the war chapters start and Moroni shows up and something that I thought was cool was the way it talks about preparing. They prepare themselves against the Lamanites by putting on armor and building up their cities with walls protecting them from the Lamanites. When the Lamanites show up they try to attack the weakest cities but Moroni had fortified those to make them strong and when the Lamanites attacked not one of the Nephites died several were wounded but they didn't fall. I think this is interesting because we also need to prepare ourselves put on the Armour of God and build up our testimonys so when the Devil comes to attack we won't fall either. I think it is also important to build up our weak points or things in our lives because that is where the adversary will attack first but through the Atonement our weak things can be made strong and though we are sometimes wounded we can heal and withstand the blows of the advesary.
