This week was pretty great

We started the week off a little slower not to much was going on we had a lot of lessons set up but they kept falling through so we had a lot of walking around and talking to people that didn't seem too interested but Friday was Elder Hammonds birthday so we had a good day then and went to Texas Roadhouse for his birthday which doesn't happen but right before that we had someone that bashed in a very weird way about baptisms fo the dead and stuff like that so we said we had to leave then headed over to the restaurant which was awesome but when we left the waiter decided that he needed to tell us all about his past life and things about drugs and all that he did and how it is a miracle that he isn't in jail so that was odd. After Friday we were able to talk with a lot more and found a few cool people we found a cuban guy with a cool mustang so we have enjoyed going over there, Then on Saturday we had a ton of service where he helped build a house for a service project we just painted mostly but afterwards we went and helped someone unload stuff from a truck and then helped someone move. Then we had some pretty great lessons that night that we didn't expect so that day was a lot of fun. On Sunday not a ton happened we were able to find some more cuban people though which is always awesome
I was also reading in Jacob this week and found an awesome scripture that I really liked in
Jacob 4:14
14 But behold, the Jews were a stiffnecked people; and they despised the words of plainness, and killed the prophets, and sought for things that they could not understand. Wherefore, because of their blindness, which blindness came by looking beyond the mark, they must needs fall; for God hath taken away his plainness from them, and delivered unto them many things which they cannot understand, because they desired it. And because they desired it God hath done it, that they may stumble.
I really liked how it talks about not looking beyond the mark and the importance of the simple things it says that their blindness came after they sought for things they could not understand so it is important to build our understanding but we have to do that in small steps with the smal;l actions of Faith and in the end look to Christ as well, there was a awesome talk by Elder Maxwell where he says the mark represents Jesus Christ in this scripture and if we look past him then  we are going to stumble and fall so don't look beyond the mark

Hey everybody hope everyone is doing good I decided I should probably send another email out since it's been a long time since I have sent one. I am still here in Sioux Falls South Dakota but since last time I wrote I have gotten a new companion. His name is Elder Gertsch and he is from Boise Idaho so thats been kind of fun talking about Idaho. We also got a baptism a while back for a girl named Sarahi which was pretty awesome. Honestly not a ton has happened just walking and talking to the spanish people here in South Dakota which has a lot more Spanish than I would have originally thought. I also have been trying a lot of new food here. About every time I go to a members house I eat something new which has generally been something related to sea food like when someone fed us seaweed. I am getting to the point in my mission where I have learned how to start cooking more than just microwaving things so the food game has improved. I have loved being on my mission even...

This was a crazy week. We started by flying to Omaha on Monday but when we got there we found out that we won't meet our trainers until Wednesday so we just had to stay in hotels for 2 days but that was pretty fun. We got to go explore winter quarters and then we got to go eat at President Bailey's house. Then on Wednesday we were given assignments and I was assigned to Lincoln Nebraska Spanish in a trio with Elder Hepworth and Elder Hammond but before we could leave we had to wait for a ride for 7 hours. Me and two other new Elders just walked around the Church and looked at the Tacomas that they won't let the Elders drive because they only allow the sisters to have them. Then we finally got our ride but we had so much luggage and mail that we couldn't see anyone in the car while we drove. Once I got to Lincoln I met my trainers. Hello everybody hope you had a great week  Transfers were this week and I got transferred to Omaha which kind of sucks but it is a good area we actually have a Spanish Branch again which makes church fun. Before we left GI we got to say goodbye to the people we were teaching and some members and they took us to some Mexican reseraunt and bought a ton of tacos it was awesome but really sad that we were leaving. We were also told that are apartment was going to close so we spent a ton of time cleaning the heck out of it then they changed it at the last moment so other missionaries get to stay in our apartment. Omaha is pretty great though our first day we got a ton of food from some puerta ricans then later we were able to put someone on date for Baptism. This week has been kind of crazy but overall it's been good I was also able to read this week in the Book of Enos And he said unto me: Because of thy faith in Christ, whom thou hast never before heard nor seen.
